In the English Enrichment Programs students will have a first-hand experience of an American University setting. They will study on campus, eat on campus, socialize on campus, and they will have the option to live on campus. All classes are taught by highly qualified instructors with years of experience. Class sizes are small with a 10:1 student-teacher ratio. With small class sizes students will engage directly with teachers fostering a better experience and comprehensive learning. Students will receive a certificate of completion at the end of each program.
English courses are offered at all levels, beginner to advanced. Test prep for SAT, ACT, and TOEFL are available upon request. Activities and American cultural classes are offered daily. Students can take part in a variety of classes such as arts and crafts, dance, American games, sports, pop culture and many more!
ESL Program Whittier
English courses are offered at all levels, beginner to advanced. Classes are taught in state of the art classrooms by trained professionals. Class sizes are small to facilitate a better learning environment. Students are grouped based on their English abilities during the first day assessment. English lesson are taken in the morning and after lunch students will go on daily excursions to the many local attractions.
This program uses a non-traditional way of teaching English. Students will learn through their personal experiences and interactions while they explore southern California.
The camp consists of three days of on campus lessons/ activity at a University campus and two days of excursions. The excursion will be to locations related to the course material: the California Science Center, Griffith Observatory, ect. The program is designed to enrich the students in science, English and expose them to an American University.
American School Program
International students will receive the “true” American school experience when they attend one of our many local school partners. They will study side by side with their local peers. Together they will learn, problem solve, exchange ideas, beliefs, and build lifelong relationships. At school and with their wonderful American homestay family students will be completely immersed into American culture. They will gain priceless knowledge of American Culture and the English language.
S.T.A.R. (Parent and Child) Program
The S.T.A.R. program is fun for the whole family. Parents and their children will get to experience America together. Children will get the “true” American experience when they attend a local school and live with a local host family. While the children are in school, the parents enjoy touring California, Nevada and Arizona. After the school program the parents and children will reunite and tour the east coast together for the remainder of their trip.
